We made Homemade pizza's too!

This is always a fun and rewarding lunch! The mess was CRAZY, but it was all worth it!



 WE used Turkey Pepperoni on one pizza and just cheese (a classic) on the other and sprinkled some parmesan cheese ALL over!!!!



We made play dough!!!


They are VERY serious about their work!

New ways to help scissor skills

I've been working on scissor skills with the younger children. We've been doing a lot of fine motor skill work such as these listed in this really helpful and neat website.

Have your child snip narrow strips of paper with scissors.

Monday, November 19th Todays Craft

This weeks theme is Thanksgiving! (go figure). We're going to learn all about Thanksgiving and share some of the things that we are thankful for! I am thankful for all my daycare children and thankful to be able to take care of such great little ones!

Today we're going to make Paper Bag Turkeys!


All the books at the library were OUT! :( But, that didn't stop me. I found an online story about a Turkey who lost his sandwich "Tick Tock and the Disappearing Sandwich" . We'll also be readying about Thanksgiving Day and why we celebrate it!

Wednesday Fine Motor Skill

We used a tea bag infuser (found at Ikea) to grab the pom poms and count as we picked then up and transferred them to the cup.

 


Animal Sensory Table

Today we have our Sensory table filled with Black Beans and all sorts of Animals! 




Animal Week!

This week, we're learning about all the different animals and what they do and where they live and what sounds they make. In addition to all that, we're learning what letters each animal starts with and how they sound! Each Day I have a book and craft ready for the children!
Monday we went to the local library and the Librarian read us 3 books and afterwards we did a Hamster craft! H..hhh hhh is for Hamster!

This week we will be learning all about animals and the sounds of the letters they start with (ex: Cow - "C"). We will be making animal crafts and read animal related books!!! Today we read  "Click Clack Moo" and we did a fun "sheep art project" .

Hand Turkeys
There were no directions for this picture, but as you can see, all you need to do is trace your hand, cut it out, glue on feathers, eye, lips and dress up the clothes pins with fun paper and clip onto hand cut out.
